The TICAD People's Forum: New Horizon of Africa and Japan

Africa Japan Forum (AJF) works with African People for African People's better life.

In 2016, the Tokyo International Conference on Africa Developme nt (TICAD) celebrates its first convention in Africa. Throughout the past TICAD conferences, the African and Japanese civil societies have advocated for policies that deliver the voices of the African people and that achieve TICAD that truly serves the citizens of Africa. The TICAD People’s Forum brings together representatives of the African civil society to introduce the activism they have been committed to in the run-up to the TICAD VI.

Africa is the great continent of diversity and dynamics. During the two-day sessions, we will draw upon grassroots knowledge and discuss with the African civil society representatives active in Af rica and the Japanese experts on Africa, and will put together a joint polic y proposal for the TICAD VI.
